Experience

Angela Ross has over 20 years experience in the field of Forensic DNA Analysis and Serology. Mrs. Ross was trained and employed at an ASCLD/LAB accredited lab as an DNA analyst and supervisor, and has assisted in validation of new technologies. She is a member of the American Academy of Forensic Science and has received several awards and commendations for her work while tracking serial killers and natural disasters in Louisiana.

Mrs. Ross has processed thousands of DNA casework samples and examined hundreds of evidence items for Serology and trace collections. While employed with the Louisiana State Police Crime Laboratory she also provided assistance in processing evidence from over 20 crime scenes and collecting evidence from the autopsies. She has testified as an expert witness in numerous trials and motions throughout Louisiana and in military courts martial in the United States and internationally.

She has shared her knowledge with many attorneys in Louisiana and the military through one-on-one conversations and through presentations. She has spoken to the Louisiana Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers several times and the Defense Services Office Pacific Training Symposium.

Mrs. Ross has been a forensic DNA expert consultant since 2010. She has consulted on a variety of cases, including: sexual assault, rape, homicide, burglary and other property crimes. She provides invaluable guidance regarding the DNA results and how the evidence was processed at the lab. She will review all documents related to the case, not just the DNA data.
